2010 1/2oz Bush Babies Silver Kangaroo - Mintage: 10,000

The first release in The Perth Mint’s charming Australian Bush Babies series, this 2010 Kangaroo 50c coin celebrates one of Australia’s most recognisable native animals.

Struck from half a troy ounce of 99.9% pure silver to a quality proof finish, the reverse features Australian artist Elise Martinson’s colourful interpretation of an adorable wide-eyed baby kangaroo. The obverse displays Queen Elizabeth II together with the Australian 50-cent denomination and 2010 year-date.

The coin weighs approximately 15.59 grams and measures 36.6mm in diameter. With a limited worldwide mintage of only 10,000, this inaugural Bush Babies release is highly collectable among Australian wildlife, Perth Mint and coloured silver coin collectors.
