Cooked Locally Caught Hen Crab

Whole hen crab, cleaned and cooked after being landed by our own crabbers. Cracking a whole crab may be something of a labour of love, but the delicious brown and white meat is a reward well worth waiting for! Hen crabs may be smaller than the male (cock) crabs, but what they lack in size they make up for in quality and flavour. The hen crabs have smaller claws, so have less white meat, but the brown meat they contain is sweet and makes for superb eating.
