The 2013 Royal Australian Mint $1 Holey Dollar and Dump Privy Mark Carded Coin commemorates the bicentenary of Australia’s first official currency. In 1813, Spanish silver dollars were altered by cutting out their centres, creating two separate coins known as the Holey Dollar and the Dump.

This aluminium-bronze $1 coin features a modern interpretation of the historic Holey Dollar and Dump and was issued as part of the Royal Australian Mint’s 2013 mintmark and privy mark program. Struck with an uncirculated finish and presented in its official RAM card, this release had a production quantity of 11,109 sets and is an appealing addition to any Australian colonial or decimal coin collection.
